As the holy month of Ramadan commences today, I extend my warmest greetings to the Muslim faithful across Kwara Central Senatorial District and all of Kwara State.
I felicitate with His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Amir-l-Muminin, HRH Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Council, and all religious, community, and political stakeholders across Kwara State.
Ramadan is more than just a period of fasting; it’s a time deeply rooted in our cultural practices, fostering a powerful sense of unity within our community. The breaking of the fast at sunset, Iftar, becomes more than just a meal; it’s a shared experience that binds us together, reminding us of the traditions and values we hold dear.
Our heritage-rich state, Kwara, exemplifies this beautifully during Ramadan. From communal prayers to shared meals and acts of charity, the holy month is marked by expressions of kindness and unity.
As we observe this holy month, let us use this opportunity to offer fervent prayers for our leaders throughout the nation and for our beloved state. May Allah grant them the wisdom and guidance to navigate the challenges we face.
In this period of reflection, let us remember the true essence of Ramadan: God-consciousness. May it inspire us towards greater generosity, strengthen our family bonds, and unite us as a community. Together, in faith and prayer, we can hope for a future filled with peace, prosperity, and the continued well-being of Kwara State and our nation.
May we all experience a peaceful, fulfilling, and rewarding Ramadan. Insha Allah.
