I had the privilege of attending the book launch of “Ilorin Emirate Frontliners,” an extraordinary literary work authored by Abubakar Imam, the Secretary of the Ilorin Emirate Descendant Progressive Union (IEDPU).
This book not only showcases remarkable literary talent but also provides an incisive and thorough overview of the prominent personalities who have played pivotal roles in the development and prosperity of the Ilorin Emirate.
During the event, I had the honour of sharing the stage with distinguished individuals who, like myself, are devoted to preserving the intellectual history and cultural heritage of the Ilorin Emirate, including HRH Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, @emir_of_ilorin.
In my address, I expressed my commitment to further promote the book by transforming it into a documentary for global distribution and audio versions to be featured on popular radio programmes. I also urged other promoters to ensure that the book is widely circulated within our academic institutions.
I commended Abubakar Imam’s meticulous research and captivating storytelling for bringing these exceptional people to life within the book’s pages.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the exposure of this significant literary work to a broader audience. It is my sincere hope that this book will continue to inspire and educate readers for many years to come.
