Riding on horseback, I joined a grand procession led by his Royal Highness Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, @emir_of_ilorin, at the 2023 Ilorin Grand Durbar.
The equestrian display and carnival event showcased the history, rich cultural heritage, and hospitality of the Ilorin people.
I extend my gratitude to the Durbar Central Committee, the Baloguns and Alanguas, and the people of Ilorin for their contributions towards this cultural experience which reflects our deep rooted traditions. I especially extend my appreciation to the good people of Ilorin Emirate for their characteristic hospitality.
I wish guests and visitors who honored our invitation a safe journey back to their respective destinations.
The 2023 edition of the Grand Durbar is a testament of the vibrancy and diversity of our multicultural and multilingual society.
